Co-director Cristina Gallego joined us for a pre-screening of BIRDS OF PASSAGE, a mystical epic that tells the origin story of the Colombian drug trade as you have never heard it before.

Told through the eyes of the Wayúu indigenous people, the story centers on a family that choose to ignore ancient omens, and enter the drug trafficking trade, sparking a bloody conflict.

The film is a striking example of the vibrancy of female directed cinema emerging from South America.
