WUTI collaborated with Neuehouse x Frieze to create a week in celebration of ART&FILM. WUTI hosted two events exploring the artist / muse relationship:

PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE: Advanced Screening
It was standing room only for one of the most hotly anticipated films of the year. This singularly rich, thought-provoking romance directed by Céline Sciamma beautifully re-imagines the artist muse relationship.

REFRAMING THE MUSE with POLLY BORLAND, PENNY SLINGER & KOHSHEN FINELY
A Champaign reception welcomed guests in celebration of Frieze. Alongside our co-host Ben Lee Ritchie Handler, the global director of Nicodim gallery, we invited three celebrated artists to explore the notion of "the muse" through the contemporary lens. POLLY BORLAND, has photographed muses from Nick Cave to The Queen; PENNY SLINGER, pioneered becoming her own muse in the 60s and KOHSHIN FINLEY weaves poetry and narratives into his layered portraiture.
